DOP is a significant contributor to osteoporotic fractures, creating a pressing need for effective preventive strategies.
Recent meta-analysis and studies have pointed out a strong correlation between DOP and various biological factors, including oxidative stress and inflammation. Importantly, low levels of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), a vital coenzyme in our bodies, have been implicated in these complications. Reduced NAD levels can lead to cellular stress, adversely affecting bone health.
Enter nicotinamide riboside (NR)—a natural precursor to NAD. NR shows great promise in boosting NAD levels, with studies revealing its potential to enhance bone health by improving osteoblast activity and mitigating the effects of aging on skeletal systems.
